If you have to press your home button extremely hard or multiple times for it to work, chances are you need to replace this cable. If you're home button is no longer depressing or is not functional, replacing this cable can also solve the problem.
NOTE: This item does not include the external plastic circle you see on the outside of your iPod Touch 4. Please see our other items for this part.
